Karla Leitz grew up in Oshkosh, Wisconsin and attended a Lutheran elementary school. She attended Winnegago Lutheran Academy in Fond Du Lac, Wisconsin for high school graduating in 2001. Her college years were spent at Martin Luther College in New Ulm, Minnesota where she graduated in 2005 with a Bachelor of Science in Education degree. Karla's teaching experience has been mainly in Early Childhood education since graduating.

Mrs. Leitz is married and has three children. She has been the preschool director/teacher and kindergarten teacher at Memorial Lutheran School since the 2012-2013 school year. Her hobbies include spending time with her family, swimming (in warm weather), running, and crocheting.
